Samule Beckett

Samule Beckett was and Irish playwight and novelist, born in Dublin. He teached in Belfast but later moved to France and teached English in the the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. There he met mr. James Joyce. During second World War beckett worked as a agricultural laborer, while writing "Watt" (published in 1953).
